Connect CallPal to Capsule CRM
Sync your Capsule people and organisations into CallPal, call them from the browser, and have every call written back to the record it came from. Setup takes about two minutes.
Deciding whether to use it at all? What the Capsule integration does.
Before you start
- A CallPal account. The 14-day trial is enough — no card required, and the integration is available on every plan.
- A Capsule user allowed to approve third-party applications.
- In CallPal, permission to manage integrations. Owners and admins have it by default.
Open Integrations in CallPal
In CallPal, go to Settings → Integrations, find Capsule, and select it.

Approve access in Capsule
Capsule connects over OAuth. Select Continue and CallPal sends you to Capsule, where you sign in and approve the access being asked for.
Approve, and Capsule returns you to CallPal with the connection made. No personal access token is ever entered into CallPal, and you can revoke the access from Capsule at any time.

Choose what to import
Capsule models people and organisations as one thing — parties — rather than two separate objects, and CallPal follows that rather than splitting them artificially.
So there is a single object to import here, and it carries both. Whether a given record is a person or an organisation comes across as a field on it.

Check the field mapping
CallPal maps the standard fields for you — name, phone numbers, email, job title, organisation and owner. Review it and adjust anything your team uses differently.
Capsule allows several numbers on a party, each with its own type. The phone mapping is where you decide which ones your reps should reach, and in what order.
Run the first sync
Start the sync. Records appear as they arrive, so a large Capsule account fills in progressively rather than showing nothing until it finishes.
After that CallPal re-syncs every 30 minutes, and you can trigger one by hand from the connection page.
Make a call
Open any synced record and select the phone number, or add records to a power-dialer campaign to work a list.
When the call ends, CallPal writes it back to the Capsule record as a note carrying the direction, duration, outcome and a link to the recording — so the next person to open that party sees the call without anyone having typed it.
What syncs
- Capsule → CallPal
- Parties — people and organisations together, as Capsule models them. Standard and custom fields alike, read from your own account.
- Calls → Capsule
- Every completed call is written to the matching party as a note: direction, duration, outcome, start time, whether a recording exists, and a link back to the call in CallPal.
What it does not do
Worth reading before you roll this out to a team — these are design decisions, not gaps we are about to close.
- Calls are logged as notes, because Capsule has no native call-activity object to write to. The first line of every note is a stable marker, so they are straightforward to search and filter.
- CallPal reads your records and does not edit them. It never changes a field and never creates a party.
- Opportunities and projects are not imported. The party behind them syncs normally and is the record you would dial anyway.
- CallPal is outbound only. No inbound routing, no IVR, no predictive dialing.
Questions
Why is there only one object to import?
Because Capsule has one. It models people and organisations together as parties rather than as two objects, and CallPal follows that rather than splitting them apart.
Do I need a Capsule personal access token?
No. Capsule connects over OAuth, so you approve CallPal from your own account and no token is copied anywhere.
How are calls recorded in Capsule?
As a note on the matching party, with direction, duration, outcome and a link back to the call in CallPal. Capsule has no native call object, so a note is the honest place for it.
How often does it sync?
Every 30 minutes by default, and you can trigger a sync manually from the connection page at any time.
Which phone number does it call from?
Your own. CallPal is bring-your-own-carrier: you connect your own SIP trunk, calls are billed by your carrier at your rate, and outbound calls present your company number rather than a rep’s personal line.
How do I disconnect it?
Delete the connection in CallPal, or revoke CallPal from your Capsule account settings. Either stops the sync immediately; records already in CallPal stay there.
