Connect CallPal to Less Annoying CRM

Sync your Less Annoying CRM contacts and companies into CallPal, call them from the browser, and have every call written back to the record it came from. Setup takes about two minutes.

Deciding whether to use it at all? What the Less Annoying CRM integration does.

Before you start

  • A CallPal account. The 14-day trial is enough — no card required, and the integration is available on every plan.
  • A Less Annoying CRM user allowed to approve third-party applications.
  • In CallPal, permission to manage integrations. Owners and admins have it by default.
  1. Open Integrations in CallPal

In CallPal, go to Settings → Integrations, find Less Annoying CRM, and select it.

The CallPal Integrations page, with the Less Annoying CRM card among the available connectors.
  2. Approve access in Less Annoying CRM

Less Annoying CRM connects by approving CallPal from inside your own account — there is no API key to find and paste. Select Continue, sign in, and approve the access being asked for.

Approve, and you are returned to CallPal with the connection made. You can withdraw the access from Less Annoying CRM at any time without involving us.

The Connect Less Annoying CRM dialog in CallPal, explaining that you will be sent to Less Annoying CRM to approve access.
  3. Choose what to import

Contacts is selected for you and is what most teams want. Companies is available if your reps call organisations rather than named people.

Custom fields you have added in Less Annoying CRM come across too — CallPal reads the field list from your own account.

The Less Annoying CRM connection page in CallPal, with Contacts selected and the field mapping below.
  4. Check the field mapping

CallPal maps the standard fields for you — name, phone, email and company. Review it and adjust anything your team uses differently.

Less Annoying CRM allows several numbers per contact. The phone mapping is where you decide which ones your reps should reach.

  5. Run the first sync

Start the sync. Contacts appear as they arrive, so a large account fills in progressively rather than showing nothing until it finishes.

After that CallPal re-syncs every 30 minutes, and you can trigger one by hand from the connection page.

  6. Make a call

Open any synced contact and select the phone number, or add contacts to a power-dialer campaign to work a list.

When the call ends, CallPal writes it back to the Less Annoying CRM record as a note carrying the direction, duration, outcome and a link to the recording.

What syncs

Less Annoying CRM → CallPal
Contacts, and optionally Companies. Standard and custom fields alike, read from your own account.
Calls → Less Annoying CRM
Every completed call is written to the matching record as a note: direction, duration, outcome, start time, whether a recording exists, and a link back to the call in CallPal.

What it does not do

Worth reading before you roll this out to a team — these are design decisions, not gaps we are about to close.

  • Calls are logged as notes, because Less Annoying CRM has no native call-activity object to write to. The first line of every note is a stable marker, so they are straightforward to search and filter.
  • CallPal reads your records and does not edit them. It never changes a field and never creates a contact.
  • Pipelines are not imported. The contact behind a pipeline item syncs normally and is the record you would dial anyway.
  • CallPal is outbound only. No inbound routing, no IVR, no predictive dialing.

Questions

Do I need an API key?

No. Less Annoying CRM connects by approving CallPal from inside your own account, so there is nothing to find and paste.

How are calls recorded?

As a note on the matching contact or company, with direction, duration, outcome and a link back to the call in CallPal. Less Annoying CRM has no native call object, so a note is the honest place for it.

Will my custom fields come across?

Yes. CallPal reads the field list from your account rather than a fixed list, so custom fields appear in the mapping alongside the standard ones.

How often does it sync?

Every 30 minutes by default, and you can trigger a sync manually from the connection page at any time.

Which phone number does it call from?

Your own. CallPal is bring-your-own-carrier: you connect your own SIP trunk, calls are billed by your carrier at your rate, and outbound calls present your company number rather than a rep’s personal line.

How do I disconnect it?

Delete the connection in CallPal, or withdraw the approval from your Less Annoying CRM account. Either stops the sync immediately; contacts already in CallPal stay there.
