Call recording disclosure
A call recording disclosure is the notice given to the person on the other end of a call that the conversation is being recorded. In outbound calling it is normally an automated message played before the call connects, so it happens on every call without a rep having to say anything.
The alternative — asking reps to recite a line — fails in two ways. It is forgotten under pressure, and even when it is said there is no record that it was said, which is the half that matters if the call is ever disputed.
An automated disclosure produces both the notice and the evidence: the announcement plays, and the fact that it played is logged with the call.
Whether a disclosure is required depends on where both parties are — see two-party consent. Many teams play one everywhere rather than track it call by call.
