Power dialer ROI calculator
Your team’s time between calls, by hand and on a power dialer, turned into conversations a month. The defaults are modest on purpose.

Ring time is the same on both sides — a dialer cannot make a phone answer faster. The gain is only the time between calls.
The ring is the same; the gap is not
Every attempt is three things: the time before the call, the call itself, and the time after. The phone rings as long as it rings whatever dials it, and a conversation lasts as long as it lasts. What a power dialer removes is the walk between calls — opening the next record, finding the number, dialing, then typing up the result.
By hand that walk is often a minute or more. On a dialer it is a few seconds: the call ends, and the next number dials itself. The calculator times both and leaves everything else equal, so the multiple it shows is the one your own numbers imply.
Power or predictive?
Our comparison of power and predictive dialers explains why a power dialer’s gain comes without abandoned calls.
Power dialers, answered
How many calls an hour can a rep make with a power dialer?
It depends mostly on answer rate and conversation length, not on the dialer: every conversation is minutes the rep is not dialing. The calculator above works it out from your own numbers, by hand and on a dialer, rather than quoting an industry figure that may not match your list.
Where does a power dialer actually save time?
Between calls: finding the next contact, dialing the number, and logging the outcome. It cannot shorten ringing, and this calculator holds ring time equal on both sides so the gain is not overstated.
What is the difference between a power dialer and a predictive dialer?
A power dialer calls one number per rep and only after the rep is free, so the person who answers always reaches someone. A predictive dialer calls several at once and drops some of the answered calls. The second gets more dials and more abandoned calls.
Should I count dials or conversations?
Conversations. A tool that doubles dials while answer rates fall has not helped, and conversations are what meetings come from.
Try the gap yourself
CallPal’s power dialer works through a list one call at a time, moving to the next contact a few seconds after each call ends, with the contact’s name, number and company on screen. The trial is free and needs no card.
