Connect CallPal to Pipedrive

Sync your Pipedrive persons, organizations and deals into CallPal, call them from the browser, and have every call written back to Pipedrive’s own call log. Setup takes about two minutes.

Deciding whether to use it at all? What the Pipedrive integration does.

Before you start

  • A CallPal account. The 14-day trial is enough — no card required, and the integration is available on every plan.
  • A Pipedrive user allowed to install apps. On most Pipedrive plans that means an admin.
  • In CallPal, permission to manage integrations. Owners and admins have it by default.
  1. Open Integrations in CallPal

In CallPal, go to Settings → Integrations, find Pipedrive, and select it.

The CallPal Integrations page, with the Pipedrive card among the available connectors.
  2. Approve access in Pipedrive

Pipedrive connects over OAuth. Select Continue and CallPal sends you to Pipedrive, where you sign in and approve the access being asked for.

Approve, and Pipedrive returns you to CallPal with the connection made. No API token is ever entered into CallPal, and you can revoke the access from Pipedrive at any time.

The Connect Pipedrive dialog in CallPal, explaining that you will be sent to Pipedrive to approve access.
  3. Choose what to import

Pick which Pipedrive objects to bring across. Persons is selected for you and is what most teams want. Organizations is there if you call companies rather than people, and Deals if you work an open pipeline.

Custom fields you have added in Pipedrive come across too — CallPal reads the field list from your own account.

The Pipedrive connection page in CallPal, with Persons selected as the object to import and its field mapping below.
  4. Check the field mapping

CallPal maps the standard fields for you — name, phone, email and owner. Review it and adjust anything your team uses differently.

The phone mapping decides what actually gets dialled, so it is the one worth a second look. Pipedrive allows several numbers on a person; pick the ones your reps should reach.

  5. Run the first sync

Start the sync. Records appear in CallPal as they arrive, so a large Pipedrive account fills in progressively rather than showing nothing until it finishes.

After that CallPal re-syncs every 30 minutes, and you can trigger one by hand from the connection page.

  6. Make a call

Open any synced record and select the phone number, or add records to a power-dialer campaign to work a list.

When the call ends, CallPal writes it to Pipedrive’s own call log — a native activity, not a note — so it appears in the person’s timeline and counts in Pipedrive’s activity reporting like a call logged by hand.

What syncs

Pipedrive → CallPal
Persons, and optionally Organizations and Deals. Standard and custom fields alike, read from your own account schema.
Calls → Pipedrive
Every completed call is written as a native call activity on the matching record: direction, duration, outcome, start time and a link back to the call in CallPal.

What it does not do

Worth reading before you roll this out to a team — these are design decisions, not gaps we are about to close.

  • CallPal reads your records and does not edit them. The only thing written back is the call activity — never a field, a stage or a deal value.
  • Deals are for calling, not for pipeline management. CallPal dials the number on the record; it does not move a deal or update its amount.
  • CallPal is outbound only. No inbound routing, no IVR, no predictive dialing.

Questions

Do I need a Pipedrive API token?

No. Pipedrive connects over OAuth, so you approve CallPal from your own account and no token is copied anywhere.

Where do the calls appear in Pipedrive?

In the call log as native call activities on the matching person, organization or deal — so they show in the timeline and in Pipedrive’s activity reports without any change to how you report today.

Will my custom fields come across?

Yes. CallPal reads the field list from your account rather than a fixed list, so custom fields appear in the mapping alongside the standard ones.

How often does it sync?

Every 30 minutes by default, and you can trigger a sync manually from the connection page at any time.

Which phone number does it call from?

Your own. CallPal is bring-your-own-carrier: you connect your own SIP trunk, calls are billed by your carrier at your rate, and outbound calls present your company number rather than a rep’s personal line.

How do I disconnect it?

Delete the connection in CallPal, or revoke CallPal from your Pipedrive account settings. Either stops the sync immediately; records already in CallPal stay there.
