Power dial an Excel workbook

Upload an .xlsx and every tab with a header row becomes its own importable list, so a workbook split by region or by rep arrives as separate calling lists, not one flattened pile.

  • One list per sheet
  • Formula columns import cleanly
  • No CRM needed

What you can do with Excel and CallPal

  • Each tab is its own list

A workbook with North, South and Central tabs imports as three lists you can select, dial and report on separately. Tabs without a header row are skipped instead of offered as empty objects.

  • Formula columns arrive as values

A concatenated full name or a computed lead score comes in as what you see on screen in Excel, not as a formula or a placeholder.

  • The messy parts handled

The trailing blank rows Excel likes to keep are dropped, rich-text and hyperlink cells come across as their text, and each column’s type is worked out from its values.

  • Straight into the power dialer

Pick the sheet, confirm the name and phone columns, and work the list end to end with a recording and an outcome on every call.

What CallPal imports

The lists come from the workbook you upload, so what you can import is whatever your file contains.

Each worksheet
Every tab with a header row becomes its own calling list, named as the tab is named. The header row becomes the fields, and the rows beneath become contacts.

Up to 50,000 rows per upload across the workbook, and CallPal tells you how many were left over. A header row is what tells CallPal what your columns are, so at least one sheet needs one.

Why dial an Excel workbook in CallPal

Excel is where most real calling lists actually live: split across tabs, annotated in columns nobody else would understand, and kept up to date by the person who owns the territory instead of by an admin.

CallPal keeps that structure instead of flattening it. Each tab stays a separate list, each column stays something you can filter by, and the numbers are dialable through the power dialer with your own caller ID.

The care shows in the details. Workbooks full of formulas are normal, and a column of them is exactly what other tools turn into unusable placeholders. CallPal takes what you would see on screen, drops the blank rows Excel leaves behind, and skips tabs with no header row rather than offering you empty lists.

How to connect Excel

  1. Step 01

    Save your workbook as .xlsx

Make sure each sheet you want to import has a header row on row one.

  2. Step 02

    Upload it in CallPal

Settings → Integrations → Excel. CallPal parses the workbook and lists the sheets it found.

  3. Step 03

    Choose sheets and dial

Select which sheets to import, confirm the name and phone columns, and start calling.

What people ask about Excel

Does every sheet in my workbook get imported?

Every sheet with a header row is offered and you choose which ones you want. The header row is what tells CallPal what your columns are, so sheets without one are skipped.

What happens to formula columns?

They come across as the values you see in Excel. Rich-text and hyperlink cells arrive as their text too.

Can calls be written back into the workbook?

No. An uploaded file has nowhere to write to. CallPal keeps the full record, outcome, duration and recording, in your call history instead.

How do I update a list?

Upload the workbook again. Whatever you upload last is what your team dials, so a re-import replaces what was there.
