Power dialer and click-to-call for Close

Work leads, contacts and opportunities from CallPal, and have every call land in Close as a real call activity, with its status, duration and recording, not as a note pretending to be one.

  • Leads you can dial
  • Connect in one click

What you can do with Close and CallPal

  • Calls log as calls, not notes

Close treats a call as its own kind of activity, and that’s where CallPal writes: direction, how long it lasted, a status Close recognises, your note and a link to the recording. It lands where your team already looks, and it counts in Close reporting.

  • Leads you can actually dial

A Close lead has no phone number of its own; the numbers sit on its contacts. CallPal gathers them up, so a lead-first workflow works without you flattening your data first.

  • Only what changed comes back

After the first import, CallPal asks Close only for the records that have moved, instead of re-reading your whole account every half hour. Big accounts stay quick and your API budget stays yours.

  • Custom fields ride along

The fields your team added are offered next to the built-in ones, so the thing you actually sort and filter by is there on the contact.

The Close objects CallPal supports

Three objects, and one thing worth knowing behind all of them: in Close, everything hangs off a lead. CallPal follows that shape instead of fighting it.

Leads
Lead name, status, description, website, city, emails and owner. Phone numbers are collected from the lead’s contacts, so you can dial the lead itself.
Contacts
Full name, every phone number with its type, emails, job title and the lead they belong to. The most direct list to power-dial.
Opportunities
Not a calling list. A Close opportunity carries no phone number of its own, so there is nothing on it to dial — the lead or contact behind it is already above, and a call files against the lead either way.

Calls always attach to a lead. Dial a contact and CallPal finds its lead first, so the activity files where Close expects it.

Why call from Close with CallPal

Close is built around the phone, which sets a higher bar for anything that dials on its behalf. A call that arrives as a plain note is visible but useless: it doesn’t show up in call reporting, it carries no status, and you cannot filter it next to the calls placed inside Close itself.

So CallPal logs a real Close call activity instead. Duration, direction and the recording link go into their proper fields, and your outcome is matched to the statuses Close recognises (completed, no answer, busy, failed, voicemail), with your original wording kept in the note alongside it.

The other reason is scale. An account with tens of thousands of leads imports in full without stopping part-way, and after that first pass only the records that changed are read again. Your team gets a complete calling list on day one without waiting on it every half hour after that.

How to connect Close

  1. Step 01

    Connect your organization

Settings → Integrations → Close, then Continue. Close asks you to approve access, and that is the whole step — there is no key to create, copy or store.

  2. Step 02

    Come back connected

Approving returns you to CallPal with the connection made and named after your Close organization.

  3. Step 03

Choose what to import, then dial

Select leads, contacts, opportunities or all three, keep the fields you want, and start calling. Every call posts back as a Close call activity.

What people ask about Close

Do calls show up in Close call reporting?

Yes. CallPal logs a real Close call activity and not a note, so the call carries a duration, a direction and a status, and it’s counted wherever Close counts calls.

What happens to an outcome Close doesn’t recognise?

Close accepts a fixed set of call statuses. CallPal matches your outcome to that set where it can and keeps your original wording in the note, so the call always logs and the detail survives.

Can CallPal handle a large Close account?

Yes. Accounts with tens of thousands of records import in full without stopping part-way, and after the first pass CallPal only reads what has changed.

Which record does a call attach to?

Every Close activity belongs to a lead. Dial a contact or an opportunity and CallPal finds its lead first, then files the call there with the contact referenced.
