CRM dialer
A CRM dialer is outbound calling software connected to a customer relationship management system, so that reps dial contacts straight from their CRM records or lists and each call — its outcome, duration and often a recording — is logged back against the record it was placed from without anyone typing it in.
There are three common shapes. Some CRMs build calling in, which keeps everything in one product but ties you to that vendor’s minutes and dialing modes. A browser extension overlays a dial button on the CRM’s own pages, which is quick to set up but can break when the CRM redesigns a screen. A separate app synced through the CRM’s API imports the contacts and writes calls back as native activities, which survives redesigns at the cost of one context switch.
The half that decides whether a CRM dialer is worth having is the write-back. Pulling contacts out is easy; logging every call against the right record, automatically, is what makes pipeline reports and activity counts true. Ask which object the call lands on and what it records.
Most CRM dialers support click-to-call for single calls and a power dialer for working a list. See the CRMs CallPal connects to.
