Click-to-call for CRMs
CallPal vs PhoneBurner
PhoneBurner has been doing one thing for a long time: work a list, drop voicemails, send the follow-up, move on. It ships its own light CRM, integrates with others, and its focus is the reason people like it — there is very little in it that is not about getting through a call list.
This is the closest comparison on the list, because both products are power dialers and neither pretends to be a phone system. The differences are underneath: who bills the minutes, which CRMs are connected natively, and whether a manager can join a live call.

The PhoneBurner column is our own read of publicly available information and can change. The CRM-coverage row was checked against each vendor’s own integrations directory on 22 August 2026 — a listing there is not proof of a native two-way sync, which is what that row is really about. We quote no competitor pricing at all: plans get renamed and features move between tiers, and a stale number is worse than none.
Choose PhoneBurner if…
- You want voicemail drop and templated follow-up email in the same tool as the dialer.
- You would rather use the dialer’s own lightweight CRM than connect an external one.
- A long track record on very large call lists matters to your buying decision.
Choose CallPal if…
- Your contacts live in a CRM and you need calls written back onto those records, not exported.
- You want the minutes at wholesale on your own carrier rather than bundled.
- A manager needs to listen, whisper or barge into a call while it is happening.
- You want recordings encrypted at rest with a retention window you set, and a real erasure path.
The CRMs CallPal was built for
Contacts sync in, calls go back to the record they came from — as a native call activity where the CRM has one, as a formatted note where it does not.
Plus CSV and Excel import for anything not on the list. See all integrations.
CallPal vs PhoneBurner FAQ
Does CallPal have voicemail drop?
No. A rep leaves their own voicemail, or hangs up and moves on. It is one of the clearest gaps against a dialer built around the feature.
What does CallPal add over a standalone power dialer?
Three things: the calls land on the CRM record automatically, a manager can join a live call to listen or coach, and the minutes are billed by your own carrier rather than by us.
Do both dial one call at a time?
Yes. Neither is a predictive dialer, so in both cases the rep is on the line before it rings and nobody answers to silence.
